Note di degustazione
The 2016 Crozes Hermitage Domaine Des Lises is a classic, well-made northern Rhône that has tons of exotic pepper, black fruits, sappy flower, and hints of olives. With medium body, bright acidity, and good density, it needs a year or two of bottle age to really shine and should keep through 2026. It's a rock solid Crozes in 2016. The Equis releases are made by the team of Maxime Graillot (of Alain Graillot) and Thomas Schmittel. While I wasn’t able to get prices on the wines, I suspect they’ll represent terrific values.

From Maxime Graillot's home estate, the 2016 Crozes Hermitage is a pretty classical rendering of the appellation, made with 30% whole clusters. Black olives, licorice and dark fruit come together on the nose and palate of this medium to full-bodied wine. The tannins are silky but assertive, making it a fine foil for red meats over the next 6-7 years.
