2001 Riesling Steiner Hund Reserve

Like several other growers around Krems, the Saahses have elected to drop the word "Spatlese" in favor of "reserve." Pineapple, lemon, resins and sage in the nose. Highly aromatic in the mouth, too, with ample fruit allied to salty minerality. Fine-grained and long on fruit and minerals but very unevolved as yet. 1 star certainly, though.
