2019 Halgans Monzinger Riesling

Is it a goose ( Gans ), is it a plane, or does the wine simply come from the Halenberg, without being allowed to say so, as for trocken the site name may only be used by the Grosses Gewächs? Once again the fragrance entices mainly with fine fruit, some of it regional, but mango and orange also allowed a peek through the olfactory curtain. It would be fair to say that whereas the Frühtau takes the herbal route, the Halgans is a little more stone-fruit oriented, its mineral impact buffered by a generous texture. (MS)
