2018 Bourgueil Mi-pente

Blackish, purplish crimson with a pale rim. Beautifully fragrant. Tannins well in retreat already with just a little grip and inky texture on the finish. Great purity of Cabernet Franc fruit with a delicate touch and none of the reduction or over-extraction that can sometimes be found in Loire Cab Francs. Grainy texture on the finish. Real drive and purity. And persistence! (JR)
