NV The Last Drop - Drew Mayville Signature Blend (61.5%)

The Drew Mayville Signature Blend is a very special bottling from the Last Drop Distillers. The high-proof blend of Kentucky Straight Bourbon and rye whiskeys has been produced from the Buffalo Trace Master Blender’s astonishingly rare vintage library. The whiskey is uncut and unfiltered, which allows the full potential of all the flavours to shine through. Mayville describes the whiskey as “truly one-of-a-kind that will never be recreated again”. The nose is mesmerising with luscious tropical fruit, sweet hints of vanilla, cut by a dash of candied orange. With air it evolves, offering richer, dark-fruited tones, while the palate reveals a rich, spectacularly buttery mouthful. Nutty rye notes mingle with baking spice, dates, figs and dark chocolate, building to a long, warming, spicy, malty finish. Truly outstanding. Only 1,458 individually hand-numbered bottles exist. Each one is accompanied by a miniature that you can sip and savour before opening the full bottle.
