Bright flint/stone aromas, along with floral notes, characterize the pure nose of the 2013 Wintricher Ohligsberg Riesling Spatlese. Sweet and juicy, but also racy-piquant on the palate and salty in the aftertaste, this is a straightforward, stimulating and fresh, lemon/grapefruit-flavored Riesling with excellent aging potential.

Cask sample. The fragrance partners ripe local fruit like pears and mirabelles with just a hint of the exotic. Fresh and juicy on the palate with just a dash of peel setting a fine bitter nuance. Very charming. (MS)
