NV Glenfiddich 26yo Grande Couronne (43.8%)

This is a rare, Cognac-finished single malt from the venerable Speyside producer’s highly coveted Grand series. Couronne – which translates as “great crown” – spent an impressive two years finishing in a Cognac oak cask after a 24-year maturation period in a combination of American and European oak. It is highly unusual to find a single malt that has spent such an extended period in Cognac casks – and the resulting liquid really is a jewel in Glenfiddich’s crown.
