Note di degustazione
Kit's Coty is a south-facing 95-acre vineyard in the North Downs of Kent on free-draining chalk soils. Underwent malo and 11% of the blend matured in barrel. Three years' lees ageing before release. TA 7.4 g/l, pH 3.05, RS 8 g/l. Tasted blind. Pale yellow. Unusually rich nose – exuberant. And quite a bit of sweetness on the finish. Not sickly but definitely not for the grower-champagne addict. The English wine to recommend to a Pol Roger fan? Well made. (JR)

Nice little bit of autolysis on the nose but massive appley acidity on the palate. Very pure and zesty with decent balance on the palate – so long as you are anticipating the elevated acidity of English wine. Clean and lively. I would happily serve this to French friends. It's not like champagne but it's a good English fizz. (JR)
100% Chardonnay from this 95-acre south-facing vineyard on the North Downs of Kent which also produces some rather nice still Chardonnay. Full malo. 15% of the wine was matured in barrel before the blend was bottled and aged for four years on lees before a dosage of 8 g/l. Much more interesting on the nose than the 2016 Three Graces from the same producer. Very obviously Chardonnay and really rather ripe. Fresh appley acidity (TA 7.6 g/l). Rather pretty and well balanced. This doesn't taste like Champagne, and nor does it need to. It tastes like a frank, refreshing, well-made expression of English sparkling wine. (JR)
