WhistlePig 15 Year Old Single Cask #12717 was selected after we sampled over 30 different single casks with Master Distiller Pete Lynch at the Vermont distillery. After time spent in American oak and a short finishing period in Vermont oak, this whiskey has complex notes of caramel, lavender and vanilla. There are floral, sweet and soft notes on the palate with a pervading rye spiciness. This is a superlative, aged example of the quality liquids that have made WhistlePig such a highly decorated rye whiskey producer.
