WhistlePig 15 Year Old Single Cask #12723 was chosen from over 30 different single casks at a tasting with Master Distiller Pete Lynch at the Vermont distillery. After time spent in American oak and a short finishing period in Vermont oak, there are pipe tobacco, ginger and toasted marshmallow notes on the notes. This leads to oak char, grassy rye and lemon peel on the palate, followed by a long and fruit-forward finish with that classic, nutty rye spice. Only 132 bottles of this superlative, aged single-cask whiskey exist.
