2015 Baron de L

Quite a price! Difficult to see why… Sweet and rich and round. Lots of density but life and freshness too. I think this was one wine they used to slip into any blind tasting to test Sauvignons and I can see why. Very long and complete. I still wouldn’t pay £70 for it but it is very much better than the regular bottling. Already approachable – and long. Satin-textured. Pretty ripe fruit! (JR)
