Note di degustazione
A cool, precise and flinty, still somewhat reductive and also floral-scented aroma opens the nose of the 2013 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese (AP 0814) which also displays some hints of botrytis. Bottled with 7.5% alcohol, it is a light-bodied, though very juicy, quite sweet and intense Mosel classic with ripe Riesling fruit plus a delicately piquant and stimulating acidity and salinity. The wine is buoyant and well balanced and generates a good mood.

Silver colored the 2013 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese Gold Capsule (AP #1414) is exceptional because it was selected like an Auslese, but from healthy berries which were very rare in 2013. The wine offers a very clear, lean and slightly earthy and greenish aroma leading to a very pure, minerally piquant yet balanced and complex palate with a lingering salinity and a fresh and grippy finish.
