This was originally dismissed as a weak vintage. Orange gold. Very toasty nose. Really very mature nose! Racy and green-tasting somehow. As pure as a mountain stream. Masses of juicy acidity. Dry, slightly sudden finish. (JR)

Good vintage. Early crop. Some rain during harvest. RS 7 g/l. Coppery gold. Mellow nutty nose. Racy, off dry, the sort of balance that's very common in German Grosses Gewächs. Much more forward than the 1992. Long. This would make a very friendly aperitif. (JR)
