Volcanic soil, grapes from best site, ie Winklerberg. 50% new oak. More spicy and toasty on the nose. Very oaky, cedary and toasty. Good fruit density underneath but oak dominated at the moment. Firm very fine tannins. Very good deep-pile rounded texture. 28 days' maceration hence strong ripe tannins. Very spicy finish. (JH)
