1973 Hermitage La Chapelle

Dark rose red. Bloody, meaty nose. Sweet, dense. The acidity is pretty dominant and there’s a dustiness here. This is almost great – and for the vintage is a great testament to the fact that Jaboulet were really on form then. Slightly rustic tannins. (JR)
