Medium plummy red with purplish rim. Roasted notes reflect a medium toasting but still allow the cedarwood and cigarbox aromas of the oak to shine. There is no shortage of fruit either, great expression of lipsmacking cherry flavour. Yes, it is a little raw right now, as a wine with great potential should be at this early stage, but there is no denying the power, complexity and length. (MS)
