Note di degustazione
Lots bottled. Slightly low acid. Rich, glowing amber. Polish and massive richness. Quite low acid and macerated berries with a whiff of smoke. Rich with lime syrup undertow. Great with terrine of foie gras even if a little soft for long term. Katharina Prüm thinks it is too young. (JR)

Some wines are a bit flabby but it was an amazingly hot summer – best for Mosel. Very warm September and October, and then a bit of rain for botrytis – red Goldkapsel four star. Much, much richer on the nose than the 1975. Orangey copper. Amazingly sweet! Hint of smokiness. Almost like a glucose drink. A hint of orange peel. Very clean refreshing finish – not heavy at all. A very successful 1976. Clean and brisk. Zesty. Not nearly over the top. Really energetic. A sports drink?! Clearly Beerenauslese ripeness level. (JR)
