1995 Vouvray Sec Le Mont

100% Chenin Blanc. The subsoil of the Le Mont vineyard is comprised of green clay and silica. Hand-harvested from 15 year-old vines, fermented with indigenous yeasts at very low temperatures for approximately eight weeks in old oak vats of varying sizes. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Demeter certified. Smoky, unmistakable Chenin with some bottle age. Very crisp, dry and fine. still with fresh zesty citrus. Great intensity but you have to be an acid freak to love this. Still amazingly youthful. (JH)
