Note di degustazione
Deep gold. Pure blackcurrant leaf and just enough sweetness to counterbalance the stunningly fine acidity and clear delineation. This just pours down the throat like a mountain stream! SO refreshing yet so chock-full of flowers and stones. Perfect for a summer's evening. (JR)

Deep, deep greenish gold. The perfect wine for a sticky summer's evening. Gloriously complex, burnished nose with notes of apple, lime blossom and high-toned green vegetation but fully ripe and hugely refreshing. The light fruitiness and high acidity seem in perfect harmony. Creamy texture. More fruit weight (though no more alcohol) than the 2001 Kabinett from the same producer and vineyard enjoyed a few days ago. I wonder whether the fruit may have reached its apogee? Just lovely! (JR)
So pure! Such longevity. This particular bottle was almost certainly bought from the cellars of Buckingham Palace in about 2005, was then kept in our spiral cellar that then leaked, then moved to the Languedoc where it has not been stored at a particularly low temperature and yet it was in perfect condition and at a perfect state of its evolution. Fully evolved but without a suggestion of oiliness. Just pure fruit and massive freshness in perfect harmony. Light residual sugar with just the right amount of acidity to counterbalance it. Whistle clean. Even more impressive than the bottle noted here . (JR)
