1999 Vin de Pays des Bouches du Rhone

Intense nose of sweet fruit and sweet undergrowth. Almost sickly sweet at first but becoming more complex in the glass. Dry, dusty but vibrant on the palate. Elegant but not lightweight. Long, with a fine complexity of age and yet still so much zesty sweet red fruit. Highly distinctive. (JH)
