Unnecessarily heavy bottle. A bit dead and dull. Still rather brutal tannins and without quite enough lift or fruit. (JR)

Heavy bottle alert! Blackish crimson. Intense and treacly and sweet on the palate. I don’t honestly think it’s the most classic style of Hermitage – rather over oaked and slightly uncomfortable on the finish. A little sweet. Not for me but it certainly doesn’t have any faults. (JR)
