Cask sample. Awkward adolescent not in the mood to embrace right now. Gravelly and with an almost medicinal character it certainly reflects the terroir of grey slate it was brought up on. The persistent taster will be rewarded with some conciliatory notes of ripe fruit and even a hint of toffee. Nevertheless, this is minerally Riesling for grown-ups. (MS)
